What is this Privacy & Security Policy for?

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in relation with our website.

We take security extremely seriously and take all possible and reasonable precautions to protect your information.

Our servers are equipped with advanced security measures, such as DDOS Protection and mitigation, an advanced Firewall and IDS, Anti-malware and Anti-virus and are proactively monitored by a team of experts to spot any vulnerabilites before it evens happens.

Our site is offered through the ssl protocol (https) to offer you more security when you visit our site. 

Our internal security protocols match or exceed PCI standards (note that our protocols have not been certified officially for PCI standards since we only provide articles and information on this site). Nevertheless, we never ask for credit card numbers on this site. Any and all personally identifiable information we directly keep is kept on fully encrypted data storage using 256bits encryption or better.

You can always ask to have your personnaly identifiable information deleted. Unless we need to keep it for legal reason, we will promptly delete your information and send you a confirmation. In the event we need to keep some of your information for legal reasons, we will only keep the portion of information we need to keep for the length of time required by law and inform you of what PII will be kept and for how long.

Sections of the site used to collect information, such as our sign-up form are exclusively hosted on external third party vendor service providers that provide: 1. SSL encryption to secure the data transmission; 2. Secure data storage to encrypt any information collected for us; 3. High level of security and protocols to protect their servers. When forms that collect information are used, no personal information is required or ever collected unless the form data transmission is protected by SSL encryption and that we have analyzed the external third party vendor security measures and confirmed they meet our requirement to protect your information.

When it comes to third party vendor and services providers, we take all possible precautions to protect your information but we can not be held liable for any security issue out of our control, so for instance if a third party vendor we use to collect information has a security breach, we can not be held accountable or responsible since it is out of our control. Rest assured that we do monitor every services or vendor we use carefully and will terminate our use of any service the instant we feel there is a risk to your information safety and privacy.

Note that we offer the option to sign-up to our mailing list using only your email, no other information is required and you can use a generic email without your actual name in the address if you wish to remain anonymous to protect your identiy. Our contacts form are 100% encryped, end-to-end and the data that is stored on the server is also encrypted, so you can feel safe to share your personal information and message with us, no one but us can read it.

Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We do not use any cookes except for those used to help us compile aggregate and anonymous (non personally identifidable) data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer a better site experiences in the future.

Google AdSense Use

Google's advertising requirements can be summed up by Google's Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users.

We DO NOT use Google AdSense Advertising on our website. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on sites. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt-out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy.

We may however in some cases, along with third-party vendors such as Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website.
